The Gear

The Instruments Behind the Sound.

Every instrument has its own character, its own feel and its own story.

From basses and guitars to amps, keyboards and studio equipment — this is the gear that lives at LeStudio43 and inspires the music made here.

Some are classics. Some are simply personal favourites.
All of them are here for one reason:

My Basses. My Sound.

I’m a passionate Sandberg endorser. Their modern sound, outstanding craftsmanship and versatility make them my go-to basses for almost any style and setup.

But I also love the classics. My Fender Geddy Lee Jazz Bass delivers that fast, crisp and articulate tone with plenty of attack, while the Fender Flea Jazz Bass brings a warmer, rawer and more vintage character.

And then there’s my Modulus Flea Bass – something truly special. Its graphite neck creates an incredibly direct response, long sustain and a distinctive, focused sound that is instantly recognizable.

Drums & Percussion. More Colors, More Sound.

My drum setup combines a traditional kit with percussive elements like Roto Toms and Splash cymbals, adding more colors, textures and sound variations.

For cymbals, my choice is Sabian – their character and dynamics simply speak to me the most.

There are far too many great drummers to name, but the ones who have inspired me most – and, for me, remain in a league of their own – are Neil Peart, Stewart Copeland, Gavin Harrison, Dave Weckl, Steve Jansen, Omar Hakim and, of course, Manu Katché.
